Artist's Comments

(THIS!!!) My art teacher at school once mentioned about 'dotting' pictures to me. I returned home that day, trying to dot out one. (It wasn't this one. It was a simple pic of Kogenai from Flame of Recca and it was sold to a man at an art carnival for $15...Tell you the truth, I wouldn't buy it for that amount :P) I kind of find this drawing style interesting and fun to do, so I tried a more challenging pic (and it's this one).

This was actually a pic from one of Weiss Kruez's CD covers. I found it ideal for dotting, so I set off to work with a SAKURA MICRON 0.05 pen. Thinking back about it, it was tiring, sitting there dotting for 8 hours, over a period of 2 days....But you'll not feel the pain until you've stopped to look at the time.

Medium: MICRON 0.05 pen (done on 26-05-2002)

Oh dang, you have patience. That looks wonderful, especially his gloved hand.

Oh my goodness! You're amazing! You got all the values right too for every little detail, like the gloves, aya's shirt, and the hair. O_O That pain was worth it I would say!
:iconnaimitsu:
huh.... I don't think I've seen this style of... okay, so it's not painting, but I think that's how it originated.... dotting done in pen... just paints... oh wait... I think I mentioned that already!!!!
You've done an excellent job of it! I believe there's also an art form of "dotting" on bone or something semi-nonsquishy ((yeah.... ran out of somewhat technical sounding words!)), but with a needle and ink.
The detailing is awesome!!! :D

Oh... wow... and you stippled that... I'm, kind of amazed right now because that is really damn good 0-0. I clicked on the thumbnail, "oh, this looks pretty" I zoom in... and I went "O-O stippled!?"
